Kinfolk vol. 8 is finally printed and on it's way from Portland Oregon to The Spring Shop! After weeks of holding these preview shots close to my chest I'm super excited to be able to share the details of the new issue because I know so many of you love it just as much as I do (and after all, enthusiasm loves company too!)
Here's what the editors have to say about the new issue:
Kinfolk Volume Eight is a glimpse of Japan through the Kinfolk lens. We explored the basic values, skills and recipes from a country we admire and a culture that seems to echo some of the same principles we try to live by. The issue is filled with mouthwatering recipes, stunning photographs, interviews with inspirational figures, terms, traditions and practices. It highlights what we love about this country, its culture, traditions and rituals. We are excited to share all the inspiration, recipes and tips we’ve learned.
A few things are different in Volume 8 - you may have noticed the subtitle has changed from "A Guide for Small Gatherings" to“Discovering New Things to Cook, Make and Do.” The new direction means Kinfolk will be more open in its coverage of home cooks, artists and makers while still keeping things as practical and approachable as ever.
