Happy Friday all!

I’m up early with a big mug of tea this morning to take in some quiet moments before preparations for a super busy weekend kick off. On Saturday The Spring Shop will be at The Powerhouse Markets in New Farm Park from 7 till noon… Then on Sunday we’re setting up at Brisbane’s very first Eco Wedding Fair at the Old Museum site (the same place Finders Keepers Markets are held). If you or someone you know if getting married it promises to be a wonderful event full of unique vendors so do check the details and grab yourself a ticket!


Environmental consciousness has been on my mind even more than usual since we’ve been counting down to the Eco Wedding Fair. While I didn’t specifically set out to create an eco-friendly business, sustainability is built into the foundational philosophy of The Spring Shop: I believe that our lives and homes are made more comfortable and joyful when we carefully choose to fill them with fewer, healthier, better designed things.


Guided by that principle, I’m very proud to show off the new range of eco picnic wares we’ve collected for The Spring Shop. Along with our selection of paper straws, we have biodegradable, unbleached, tree-free plates and bowls made from bamboo pulp and sugarcane mulch, as well as a line of natural wooden cutlery that’s all dressed up and ready to party. All our products are sturdy, green, and Pinterest-worthy, so I hope you’ll love eating out with them all summer long!
