Making: An empty cottage into a home. I’ve been all about packing, unpacking, mending, cleaning, disassembling, reassembling, and installing! And the place is finally starting to look and feel just right. *Sigh of relief*
Wearing: A panama hat.
Listening to: A whole lot of weather reports to keep abreast of the various heat waves, bushfires, cyclones and floods that dominated the month. Also, lots of Sarah Harmer, Kathleen Edwards, Martha Wainwright. I’m loving Canadian women singer/songwriters at the moment… I guess I’m feeling a touch nostalgic after last month back at home. Grab yourself a box of tissues and treat yourself to this little ditty.
Reading: Our new subscription to The London Review of Books – better than it’s NY counterpart, I think. Plus I finally finished The Fatal Shore – a deeply dark and amazingly interesting look at Australian’s convict past that ought to be required!
Loving: Peaches and yoghurt. Peaches and ice cream. Peaches and cottage cheese on a thick slice of wholegrain toast.
