Home Decorating on a Budget: Leafy Greens

{Decorating on a budget with a kale centrepiece}

As a notorious house plant killer and aspiring penny pincher, I’ve turned to displaying winter’s beautiful deep leafy greens around our home in lieu of fresh or potted flowers. Kale and tuscan cabbage* are my favourite to admire then eat. Since the styling is meant to be completely unpretentious any old jug or jar will do. We can’t get enough of crispy kale latley, and as soon as I track down another bunch (the one in the photo was devoured in the blink of an eye) I’ll snap a few shots and share my version of the recipe.

*basically kale, without the filly edges.

I’ve never tried kale but it certainly looks nice as a display. I like the idea of using greens from the garden. Herbs like mint are nice too :)

A great idea! And love the mix of the blue & the green – gorgeous!
