{Turtleneck & pants c/o Sussan; Hillary Radley bag (circa 2003 – similar style from Sussan here); topshop sunnies; Asos gold cuff; vintage watch & loafters}
I was recently asked by Sussan to style an outfit from their new catalogue and I’m very excited to share the results of my blog’s first fashion collaboration! Sussan’s Fall/Winter range is inspired by ‘a wine country getaway’ and it’s filled with cosy knits, classic weekend staples, and rich earthy tones. There was so much to choose from but I decided to build my look around a softly fitted black turtleneck. Yes, a lot of people think turtlenecks are a bit naff, but ever since I saw Michelle Williams as Ms. Monroe sporting one in My Week With Marilyn I’ve been searching for a perfectly chic version of my own. Now I don’t get away to the country very often, but for easy urban off-duty wear I love the way these slightly slouchy burgundy pants, suede loafers, and clean modern accessories offset the turtleneck’s done-up vibe. Another thing I love is it’s versatility; come the work week this knit is going to look amazing paired with a camel pencil skirt or a skinny pair of black cropped trousers and a ponytail à la Audrey Hepburn.
A big thanks to Sussan for furnishing a generous gift voucher and to the extremely helpful staff at the Pitt Street, Sydney store. I was also able to pick up a couple very sweet bits and pieces for the kitchen (did you know Sussan had adorable kitchen things? I didn’t!) and I can’t wait to share those goodies with you too.
You can check out the other Aussie bloggers who styled outfits for Sussan here including a little video of us all put together by the lovely Norlin over at Baubles, Bubbles, & Bags. Thanks N!

LOVED the way you’ve styled your outfit – simple, classic chic and you can wear that turtle neck knit with almost anything – even a sleeveless dress over it, sort of acting like a pinafore? Nice choice! Can’t wait to see what else you got from their home-wares section.
Thanks Norlin… I can’t wait to see how you style your Sussan pieces!

Oh it’s gorgeous. You done really well
I love their homewards department, although we don’t have a lot of them up here. Do you think its bad that I go into Sussans for the gift table?
I just published my post here this afternoon..

Thanks Danielle! I’d never seen a Sussan gift table before either, but now that I have I know it’s no bad thing to beeline straight for it!

Great look! I’m a huge fan of a black turtleneck. I have a slightly longer one which is super versatile. I didn’t realised there was homewares section. Must look harder next time
Thanks Laney! I’m glad you liked the turtleneck because it’s not a look you see a lot of people rocking but I think it’s super chic! I don’t think there are very many Sussan stores with homewares sections, but if you happen across one it’s worth a look because they stock some very cute things!
