Treasures from the Bottom of the Garden

by Catherine on February 18, 2011

I found this little dresser in the shed at the bottom of the garden. Thinking it would make the perfect addition to our spartan shower-room, I fished it out from the rubble and set to work fixing it up. The sanding phase was interrupted by the biggest spider I’ve ever seen. {Actually there were three of them} Eventually the man-eating arachnids moved on of their own volition and work resumed. Two coats of white paint and two days of rain storms later, my little project is finally dry and has taken pride of place. I’ve been peeking into the room all day, admiring my beautiful Valentine’s roses and collection of glass vessels on the table top… If only the sun would come out again so I could get a glimpse of their true sparkle!
